Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu Honors Excellence at PMA Kakul Passing Out Parade, International Cadets Shine

The prestigious Passing Out Parade of the 153rd PMA Long Course was held with grandeur at the Pakistan Military Academy, where Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, attended as the Chief Guest and Reviewing Officer.

The ceremony marked the successful completion of training for cadets from multiple courses, including the 153rd PMA Long Course, 38th Technical Graduate Course, 72nd Integrated Course, 15th Mujahid Course, and the 27th Lady Cadet Course. Adding an international dimension to the event, cadets from friendly countries such as Iraq, Maldives, Mali, Nepal, Palestine, Qatar, and Sri Lanka also graduated, highlighting Pakistan’s continued role in military training cooperation.

Air Chief Marshal Sidhu reviewed the parade and lauded the cadets for their discipline, commitment, and dedication to service. He also conferred awards upon outstanding performers. The coveted Sword of Honour was awarded to Academy Senior Under Officer Bilal Nasim, while the President’s Gold Medal was secured by Battalion Senior Under Officer Muhammad Saad Musa. The Chief of Defence Forces Overseas Gold Medal was presented to Senior Under Officer Pobin Kunwar from Nepal, recognizing excellence among international cadets.

Other notable awards included the Marksman Medal awarded to Gentleman Cadet Masood Ur Rehman, and the Chief of Army Staff Cane presented to Course Under Officer Haider Bin Abid of the Technical Graduate Course and Sergeant Pir Muhammad Abdullah Shah of the Mujahid Course. Commandant’s Canes were awarded to Course Under Officer Ali Bin Waqar of the Integrated Course and Course Under Officer Walia Zeb of the Lady Cadet Course.

The ceremony concluded with a strong message of professionalism, unity, and international camaraderie, reinforcing the Pakistan Military Academy’s reputation as a premier institution for military leadership and training.
