US and Iranian Delegations Arrive in Islamabad for Peace Talks
High-level delegations from the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in Islamabad today to participate in the “Islamabad Talks,” a diplomatic initiative aimed at promoting regional peace, stability, and constructive engagement among key stakeholders.
The United States delegation is led by US Vice President J.D. Vance and includes Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The Iranian delegation is headed by Speaker of the Iranian Parliament H.E. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, accompanied by Foreign Minister H.E. Abbas Araghchi.
Upon arrival, both delegations were received by senior Pakistani leadership. The US delegation was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi.

The Iranian delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi.
During the receptions, Pakistan’s leadership welcomed both delegations and reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating dialogue between all parties. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed hope that the discussions would be constructive and contribute toward a lasting and durable resolution of regional conflicts.
Officials stated that the Islamabad Talks aim to provide a platform for meaningful diplomatic engagement and to advance efforts for peace and stability in the region.
