Admiral Naveed Ashraf Hails PAF as a “Second to None” Fighting Force at Risalpur Graduation Ceremony

Risalpur, April 14, 2026 — A grand graduation ceremony was held at PAF Academy Asghar Khan to mark the successful completion of training by multiple courses of the Pakistan Air Force.

Admiral Naveed Ashraf attended the ceremony as Chief Guest. Upon arrival, he was received by Air Vice Marshal Shahryar Khan, Air Officer Commanding of the Academy. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu was also present at the event.

The ceremony celebrated the graduation of cadets from the 152nd GD(P), 98th Engineering, 109th Air Defence (Alpha & Bravo), 28th Admin & Special Duties (Alpha & Bravo), 11th Logistics (Alpha), and 135th Combat Support courses. A total of 113 aviation cadets successfully completed their rigorous training.

Addressing the cadets, Admiral Naveed Ashraf congratulated them on their achievement and praised the Academy for producing officers of high professionalism, discipline, and character. He expressed confidence that the graduates would uphold the Pakistan Air Force’s tradition of excellence and its vision of being “Second to None.”

Highlighting the Air Force’s performance during Marka-e-Haq (May 2025), he credited its success to modernization, advanced technologies, and effective leadership under Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu. He emphasized the growing importance of multi-domain operations, including cyber, electronic warfare, and space capabilities, urging officers to stay vigilant and prepared for emerging challenges.

The Chief Guest also stressed the importance of joint operations, noting that Pakistan’s armed forces continue to strengthen coordination and enhance capabilities to safeguard national interests and regional stability.

During the ceremony, awards were presented to outstanding cadets. Squadron Under Officer Nad-e-Ali received the Chief of the Defence Forces Trophy for overall best performance in General Service Training. Aviation Cadet Navaira Shahzad and Aviation Cadet Muhammad Abdullah Ejaz secured top honors in Engineering and Air Defence courses respectively. Aviation Cadet Faran Javed was awarded for best performance in the Combat Support course.

Swords of Honour were awarded to Wing Under Officer Basit Aliyan Siddiqui for excellence at the College of Aeronautical Engineering and Aviation Cadet Salman Saeed for outstanding performance at the College of Flying Training.

The ceremony was attended by senior military officials, distinguished guests, and families of the cadets. It concluded with a spectacular flypast featuring frontline aircraft, including the JF-17 Thunder and F-16 Fighting Falcon, followed by an aerobatic display by the Sherdils formation team.
