ISLAMABAD: In another significant demonstration of the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, Chinese President Xi Jinping has conveyed a personal message of appreciation to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, reaffirming the importance Beijing attaches to its all-weather strategic cooperative partnership with Islamabad.
The message was delivered on Wednesday by the Ambassador of China to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. The Chinese envoy handed over President Xi’s letter expressing gratitude for the Prime Minister’s congratulatory message sent on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to further strengthening the Pakistan-China all-weather strategic cooperative partnership. He emphasized that the two countries enjoy a relationship built on mutual trust, shared interests, and decades of close political, economic, and strategic cooperation.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of expanding people-to-people exchanges, enhancing contacts between political parties, and strengthening parliamentary diplomacy to further deepen bilateral relations.
Both sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, ongoing economic collaboration, and regional developments of mutual interest, reiterating their commitment to maintaining close coordination on issues affecting regional peace, stability, and development.

Founded on 1 July 1921 in Shanghai, the Communist Party of China (CPC) has grown into the world’s largest political party, with more than 100 million members. Under its leadership, China has transformed into the world’s second-largest economy and a leading global power in technology, infrastructure, manufacturing, and international trade.
Each year, China commemorates the CPC’s founding anniversary through official ceremonies, policy forums, and nationwide events. Landmark anniversaries, particularly the Party’s centenary in 2021, featured grand celebrations in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square led by President Xi Jinping. The 105th anniversary was marked through commemorative activities across China, reflecting the Party’s continuing central role in the country’s governance and long-term development strategy.
