Pakistan to Host Regional Envoys’ Conference in Islamabad from May 14
Ministry of Foreign Affairs will convene a five-day Regional Envoys’ Conference in Islamabad from May 14 to 18, 2026, to review evolving regional and global developments and discuss Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement with friendly countries.
According to the Foreign Office, senior Pakistani ambassadors, high commissioners, and envoys posted in key countries and international organizations will participate in the conference. The meeting will focus on Pakistan’s bilateral relations, regional cooperation, economic diplomacy, trade opportunities, security challenges, and changing geopolitical dynamics.
The conference comes at an important time as Pakistan seeks to strengthen diplomatic coordination and expand cooperation with countries across the Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia, and other regions. Officials said the recommendations formulated during the conference will help shape future foreign policy priorities and contribute to further enhancing Pakistan’s relations with brotherly and friendly nations.
During the sessions, envoys are expected to brief the leadership on political and economic developments in their respective regions, including investment opportunities, regional connectivity projects, overseas employment, energy cooperation, and emerging international challenges.
The Foreign Office stated that Pakistan remains committed to proactive diplomacy, constructive regional engagement, and strengthening partnerships based on mutual respect and shared interests. The conference will also provide an opportunity for diplomats to coordinate policy approaches and align diplomatic efforts with Pakistan’s national priorities.
Although the exact number of participating countries and missions has not officially been announced, the conference is expected to include Pakistani envoys serving in important capitals around the world, along with senior officials of the Foreign Office and the government.
