Grand Ceremony Marks One Year of Operation Bunyan Al Marsos in Islamabad

Islamabad: A prestigious national ceremony was held at Shakarparian Parade Ground, Islamabad, to commemorate the completion of one year of the successful Operation Bunyan Al Marsos, paying tribute to the courage, unity, and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and national institutions.
The event was attended by the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Naval Staff, and the Chief of Air Staff. Senior civil and military officers, diplomats from friendly countries, parliamentarians, veterans, scholars, youth representatives, and families of martyrs also participated in the grand gathering.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem and a guard of honour presented by a joint contingent of the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, and Pakistan Air Force. Special aerial fly-pasts by fighter jets and helicopter formations drew loud applause from the audience.
Addressing the ceremony, the President of Pakistan praised the professionalism and sacrifices of the armed forces, stating that Operation Bunyan Al Marsos had become a symbol of national unity, resilience, and determination against threats to peace and stability. The President said the operation demonstrated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and protecting its citizens.
The Prime Minister, in his keynote speech, highlighted the role of civil and military leadership in ensuring the success of the operation. He stated that the nation stood united behind its defenders and reaffirmed the government’s resolve to strengthen national security, regional peace, and economic stability.
The Chief of Army Staff paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans who rendered sacrifices during the operation. He emphasized that the success of Operation Bunyan Al Marsos was achieved through courage, discipline, intelligence coordination, and the support of the Pakistani people.
The Naval Chief and Air Chief also addressed the gathering, appreciating the coordination among all branches of the armed forces. They reaffirmed that Pakistan’s defence institutions remain fully prepared to counter any challenge and maintain peace and security in the region.
A documentary highlighting the achievements and milestones of the operation over the past year was screened during the event. The film showcased humanitarian efforts, security improvements, rescue missions, intelligence-based operations, and the contributions of security personnel across the country.
Foreign diplomats attending the ceremony appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for regional stability and praised the professionalism of the country’s armed forces. Several ambassadors expressed solidarity with Pakistan and acknowledged the importance of international cooperation against terrorism and extremism.
The ceremony also featured cultural performances, patriotic songs, military band displays, and tributes by schoolchildren dedicated to the martyrs of the nation. Emotional moments were witnessed when families of fallen soldiers were invited on stage and honoured with commemorative shields.
Tight security arrangements were in place around the venue, while thousands of citizens attended the event carrying national flags and chanting patriotic slogans.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the prosperity, peace, and stability of Pakistan. The event ended with a spectacular fireworks display illuminating the Islamabad skyline.
