Pakistan Approves National Youth Employment Policy to Boost Jobs, Skills and Entrepreneurship; PM Shehbaz Sharif to Launch Initiative Soo

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to empowering young people through employment, skills development, entrepreneurship and sports initiatives under the newly approved National Youth Employment Policy.

Speaking about the policy, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said the government is providing equal opportunities for youth to progress and succeed across all sectors. He announced that the National Youth Employment Policy has already been approved by the federal cabinet and will soon be formally launched by Shehbaz Sharif.

Under the policy, the Labour Force Survey will now be conducted annually instead of every four years to ensure better workforce planning and employment monitoring. The government has also set a target to increase new company registrations by at least 10 percent in order to encourage entrepreneurship and economic growth.

The policy further aims to ensure at least 35 percent participation of women in the labour force, reflecting the government’s focus on inclusive economic development.

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan also highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen technical cooperation and skills development partnerships with China to create more opportunities for Pakistani youth.

He added that the Government of Pakistan and the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme stand firmly with the country’s young people, emphasizing that the initiative will help promote skills, employment and economic growth nationwide.
