Pakistan Rejects Claims of Sheltering Iranian Military Aircraft

Pakistan has rejected claims made in a media report alleging that it allowed Iran to park military aircraft at Pakistani airbases during the recent tensions with the United States.

According to the report, Iranian aircraft arrived in Pakistan during the ceasefire period following the Iran-U.S. conflict. However, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that the aircraft had no connection to any military contingency or protection arrangement.

In an official statement, the Foreign Office said the Iranian planes were present to facilitate the movement of diplomatic personnel and security teams amid ongoing diplomatic engagements and possible peace talks.

A senior Pakistani official also dismissed reports regarding the use of Nur Khan Airbase for military purposes, stating that such claims were “speculative and misleading.”

Pakistan reiterated that it has consistently acted as an impartial facilitator for peace and maintained transparency with all relevant parties.
