*****Pakistan Launches “Operation Ghazb-lil-Haq”:*****
**Islamabad:** Pakistan’s armed forces have claimed major successes in the ongoing **Operation Ghazb-lil-Haq**, targeting terrorist infrastructure linked to the Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij, while officials have also dismissed the Taliban’s claim of a successful attack in Wana as propaganda.
According to Pakistan’s **Ministry of Information and Broadcasting**, a claim circulated by the Afghan Taliban’s so-called Ministry of Defence alleged that a successful strike had been carried out in **Wana**. Officials clarified that the claim is **false and misleading**.
Authorities stated that in reality, a **rudimentary drone was neutralized over South Waziristan through soft-kill measures**, and **no military installation or infrastructure was hit**. The ministry said such statements reflect a pattern of propaganda by the Taliban regime, similar to previous claims about shooting down Pakistan Air Force aircraft and capturing pilots—assertions that were later proven to be fabricated.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s armed forces conducted **precision strikes during the night of March 14–15** against terrorist hideouts and military installations being used by the Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij.
According to the latest operational update, the operation inflicted **heavy losses on militant elements**, with **684 militants killed and more than 912 injured**. In addition, **252 militant posts were destroyed**, while **44 posts were captured and subsequently demolished**.
Security sources also reported that **229 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery systems were destroyed** during the operation. Furthermore, **73 terrorist and support infrastructure locations across Afghanistan were effectively targeted through aerial strikes**.
Military officials confirmed that in **Kandahar**, Pakistani forces destroyed a **technical support infrastructure and equipment storage facility** that had been used by Afghan Taliban elements and associated terrorists to plan and support attacks against Pakistani civilians.
A **tunnel housing technical equipment used by Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij militants** was also destroyed in Kandahar during the strikes.
In a separate action in the **Chitral sector**, Pakistani ground forces successfully destroyed a **terrorist jump-off point located at Afghanistan’s Badini Post**, which had been used to facilitate cross-border militant activity.
Officials emphasized that the strikes were **precise and targeted exclusively at militant camps and installations directly or indirectly supporting terrorism from Afghan soil**. They strongly rejected claims by Afghan regime officials and certain media outlets that civilian areas were targeted.
According to Pakistani authorities, **no civilian population or civilian infrastructure was harmed** during the operations.
Officials reiterated that Pakistan will continue to take **decisive action against terrorist networks threatening its citizens**, while countering misinformation and propaga
nda with verified facts.
