Lahore: Pakistan and Australia will face off in the second One-Day International (ODI) of the three-match series today (Tuesday) at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Both teams arrived in Lahore ahead of the match and completed their training sessions at the venue, gearing up for what promises to be a crucial encounter.
Pakistan enter the match with confidence after securing a convincing five-wicket victory in the opening ODI in Rawalpindi, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead in the series. Chasing 201 for victory, Pakistan encountered a few challenges early on but remained in control thanks to a composed innings from captain Babar Azam. The right-hander scored 69 runs from 94 deliveries, anchoring the chase and steering his side toward a comfortable win.
Ghazi Ghori provided valuable support with an impressive 65-run knock, while Sahibzada Farhan contributed 28 runs. Moaz Sadaqat added 8 runs and Salman Ali Agha scored 6. In the closing stages, Arafat Minhas remained unbeaten on 18 and Abdul Samad finished not out on 1 as Pakistan reached the target in the 43rd over with five wickets in hand.
